At the dawn of existence, they lay the unmanifested source of all, “ the primeval essence’’ or the parabrahman. There was only the divine essence with immense potential. It was only when the parabrahman sowed the seeds of creating a material world. The will of the parabrahma is what materialised the sound OM, a vibration so potent that it radiated across the universe. OM, is a word that consists of all sounds, and the first being, Maha Tattva, which is an unrestricted material energy, which is what truly commenced the beginning of the universe. From this element came the three gunas, named Sattva guna, which indicated preservation whereas the Rajas guna denoted actions and Tamas guna denoted destruction. The mesh between these 3 gunas moved forward the pancha tattva, which consisted of the 5 elements, water, air, earth, fire, and akasha. Well balanced, they contrived prakriti also known as nature. The gunas also established the 5 senses. Hearing, sight, touch, smell and taste.

How did the entity get its name?
Now, the parabrahman envisioned itself as the divine entity that laid on the water, like a lotus pad. Since water is called nara, and abode is ayana, this entity received the name “ Narayana’’

How was brahmanda created?
The parabrahman had implanted its seed in the water. As the water nurtured the seed, soon, stemming a golden egg that shined like an illuminating orb of endless light. This potent egg, got the name brahmanda, “ the cosmos’’. The narayana entered inside the egg as vishnu, the preserver. Soon after, a lotus with 14 such petals blossomed out of vishnu’s navel, out of which, brahma emerged. Brahma separated the lotus into 3 parts, heaven, earth, and the sky. Brahma was born through a lotus navel, who got names like padmayoni and Nabhija. When brahma was there sitting looking at his creation, he went into a deep state of meditation and through him gave a rise to the four vedas named rig ved, yajur ved, sama ved, and atharva ved. Little did he know that there were four new troubles that was about to tail their heads.
